Accredited Inspection – DS/EN ISO/IEC 17020

| Since September 1995 the official standard described by CEN (European Committee for Standardization) DS/EN ISO/IEC 17020 has been officially approved in Denmark. DS/EN ISO/IEC 17020 is the guarantee of Impartial Inspection by the national standardization bodies in 28 countries including the whole ofthe EU. In addition numerous other countries have signed reciprocal agreements recognising DS/EN ISO/IEC 17020. The stated objective of this European standard is "to promote confidence in those bodies performing inspections which conform to it." What the customer is offered Accredited inspection offers the customer a consistent service which complies strictly with pre- scribed procedures. The service provides documentary evidence of the quantity and quality of goods. The highest standards of professional competence are guaranteed by self regulation from registered auditors and by periodical external inspection carried out by DANAK, a public body which operatesas an independent part of the Danish Agency for Trade and Industry under the auspices of the Ministry of Business and Industry. |
